Good morning to...... Iarlaith, Monika, Emmett and Emmet. Ronan, Bébhinn, Morgan and Dáire. Oisín, Elisha, Michael, Alanna, Annaliese, Lucas, Callum and James. I hope you're all well. Can you believe you are almost finished 3rd class, 2nd Class and 1st class? It was certainly an unusual year but I know that you are all well ready to move on a class. The good news is that you'll all be back together in the same classroom next year and I'm looking forward to seeing your lovely faces and getting back to work with you in August. If you look at the homepage, you'll see how I've suggested you spend your final week. You'll see a video below with an idea for a pop up Father's Day card. If you click here, you could go on a virtual tour in your mind by trying some of these lovely relaxing visualisations. I would also invite you to reflect on the past few months by writing a recount or poem or drawing a picture. Enjoy your final week in 1st, 2nd or 3rd class. I hope to see you on Friday on Zoom and look forward to seeing you in August. Slán go fóill, Mrs. Burns Good morning everyone, Welcome to sports week! See the homepage for all the details. The big plan for the week is to get active and have fun. There's also a link for a learning about water safety, you can click on your class level and find information that is appropriate for your age If you've been looking at muinteoir_michael's posts on instagram, you'll see that he has been sharing some very interesting posts about bees, I'd also recommend learning more here. Keep doing a bit of work and get those books finished off, but Friday is Sports Day and just like sports day in school.... there's no work that day so you can take a break. Dia daiobh a pháistí agus fáilte ar ais. I hope you had a lovely Bank Holiday weekend. You've a short week this week so it's fine to skip a few sections in your workbooks. In your class file below, I've just outlined the work I would like you to do for the remainder of the year, mostly finishing off your workbooks and keeping up a little reading and writing. There's also a link for an emagazine included that you might like to try a few ideas from. I've added to the Lego Challenge and if you look at the homepage this week you'll see I've added some links on sunsafety, which is so important. Keep an eye on the website for other activities and if you were working on the Covid 19 Time Capsule, try to get it finished off. I hope you're all feeling great and are excited about the week ahead. In maths we are going to continue on where we left off last week, so please let me know if you've been having any problems. You'll see on the home page that I have posted a Farm Safety video and I really want you all to watch it. There is also a powerpoint and a book on Farm Safety in the file I've linked on that page. It is a very busy time of year on the farm and I'm sure lots of you are enjoying helping out, but it's so important to keep safe. Staying with the farm theme, I'd love if any of you who live on a farm (or help out on a relative's farm) would write about a day in the life there and all the jobs that need to be done. Could you write a list of Farm Safety tips or design a poster? In the art file, you'll find a link on drawing farm animals or I'm sure you could come up with your own ideas. If your parents are on Instagram @muinteoir_michael is an Irish Primary School Teacher who has some lovely posts on farming and nature. Check the links below for your work for the week. Don't forget to try some of the Lego Challenges too. You might have to be a bit creative if you don't have all the supplies. Click the photo above to learn more about Florence Nightingale. We know there are so many heroes working in our hospitals at this time. Florence Nightingale was a hero in her time too, working hard to make hospitals safer and more comfortable for her patients.
